Welcome to House History Hour

It is with sadness and regret that the team have had to cease producing the House History Hour. Problems with Tweetdeck closing and other issues around Twitter have made it impossible to carry on.

We hope this is just a pause and we can find a way to return.

Meanwhile, we would like to thank all those who joined on a Thursday and supported us. We enjoyed it. Hope you did.

HISTORY:
In May 2020 Professor Sugg Ryan brought six house historians together to form #HouseHistoryHour which is “broadcast” every Thursday 7 – 8pm.

@HouseHistoryHr is a Twitter event which provides a wide and growing following of experienced, and amateur house historians with a platform to gain help and advice, ask questions, exchange tips and generally share experiences

The original six historians were soon to become seven when Cathy Soughton agreed to join the hosts and in 2022 Jill Stewart and Audrey Collins joined the team.

Each week we have a theme hosted by one or perhaps all of our historians but that does not limit the discussion. If you have a problem or have hit a brick wall in your research then join us and just ask.

Our followers are asked to re-tweet all the contributors' tweets using the hashtag #HouseHistoryHour in order to reach the widest audience possible.

Each week we provide excerpts from each hour in⚡️Moments ⚡️
